Welcome to the Toronto Seekers Blog

By EricM - Posted on 25 February 2008

This is going to be the "welcome" post for my new blog, "Toronto Seekers." I will probably edit it now and again. Consider this a first draft. :-)

EricMDuring the last few years I've enjoyed participating in various public events, in Toronto, associated with personal development along spiritual paths. Some of them have been interfaith or interspiritual events, others were outreach from a particular spiritual community to the general public. Several were events held by a group for their own program, but which the public could attend. And some have been classes or workshops, paid or free.

I thought it might be worthwhile to provide a sort of event report for at least some of these functions. It would provide some publicity for the sponsors, and it would give spiritual seekers in Toronto an idea of what sorts of things are going on around the city that they might want to check out. Rather than just an event announcement, which is mostly what you find online, this will be a description of what actually happened, from one participant's experience and perspective.

I'm not really what anyone would call "active" in the interfaith and interspiritual community in Toronto. But I would like to think that I am a supporter of such activities, at least in the most basic way possible: I'm there. Sometimes just having other people demonstrate in this way that they are interested is indication enough to the organizers that their efforts are being recognized and appreciated. As an extension of my appreciation... here is this blog.
