Dances of Universal Peace (Qahira)
The Dances of Universal Peace are a participatory, group form of "meditation in motion" that honours the sacred traditions of the world. Dances of Universal Peace are held the first Tuesday of every month (with some exceptions). The Dances begin at 7:30 pm, at the Metropolitan Community Church, 115 Simpson Avenue, one block north of Gerrard and one block east of Broadview. (map)
For more information, contact Qahira Jo Oppenheimer (qahira [at] peacedances [dot] org) or visit the dance circle's website at (www.peacedances.org). For general information about the Dances of Universal Peace you can also visit (www.dancesofuniversalpeace.org).
This is not a Sufi Order event. The International Network for the Dances of Universal Peace operates under the auspices of the Sufi Ruhaniat International, another Sufi order and a relative of the Sufi Order International, which also traces its origins to Pir-O-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan.
