Pir-O-Murshid Hazrat Inayat KhanOn this day in 1927, Pir-O-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan rejoined Allah, his Beloved. It is celebrated on February 5th every year.

Born in India, Hazrat Inayat Khan was the first person to bring Sufism to the West. His Sufi Message forms the root of several Inayati Sufi orders that exist today. His son and spiritual heir, Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, founded the Sufi Order International.

Most years we hold some kind of event to celebrate the Urs. Please visit our Special Events listing to see if there is anything currently scheduled.
