About This Website

Welcome to our Help Guide. Here you'll find information about the tools and features we've made available — what they are and how to use them. If you wish, you can jump directly to our FAQ page, or use our Contact Form to send us email. If you have used other community-building online sites then you will find the usual familiar tools like discussion forums and blogs and can jump right in. If you are new to such things, then read on.

The site generally features two types of material: 1. Things created by designated authors and administrators, primarily for informational purposes, and 2. Things added by the general community either as comments or additions, or as original material in those areas of the site designed for public contributions.

Some items at this website allow the general community to attach comments, depending on the item author's preference. In addition to adding comments, the general community can participate in the discussion forums and in chat rooms.

The other pages in this Help Guide will provide specific instructions on how to use these tools. This Help Guide is in the form of a Web Book — a set of pages structured in an outline format. You can see that structure in the Table of Contents below. Also, some Web Book pages feature a section at the bottom that shows the set of "child" pages belonging to the current page (child pages are one level below in the outline). At the very end of a Web Book page you'll find a "< [previous page title]" and "[next page title] >" line. The [next page title] for this page is called "About Us."
